पोखरास्थित लामाचौरमा प्रसिद्ध अकला देवीको मन्दिर छ । मन्दिर तीन तहको छानायुक्त नेपाली शैलीमा निर्मित छ । यो मन्दिर त्यति पुरानो भने होइन । हालसालै सिमेन्ट र इँटाको प्रयोग गरी बनाइएको हो । यसमा कलाकारिताभन्दा पनि स्थानीय बासिन्दारूको विश्वास ज्यादा रहेको पाइन्छ । यहाँ प्रारम्भमा यहाँ देवीथान थियो । तीज र शनिबारका दिनहरूमा यहाँ भक्तजन आउने गर्दछन् ।
The Nepalese-style temple of Akala Devi at Lamachaur of Pokhara comprises of three tiered roofs but is built of cement and bricks rather than wood. The temple is newly built. Originally, a small shrine honouring the goddess was present under a tree but this was later replaced by the present temple.
However, despite its newness, the temple is very popular among the residents of Pokhara and a large number of devotees visit it on Saturdays. The temple is also very popular among women during the festival of Teej.
